Stay | First-class scenery, second-class service, third-class hardware | Four Seasons Sydney

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, which is in a very convenient location, close to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour, just a short walk from Circular Quay and about a 20-minute drive from the airport. But the last major renovation was some years ago. I stayed in an open-plan suite with a view. The view was impeccable. The view outside the window included the famous Opera House and Sydney Bridge. The scenery during the day was as beautiful as a painting. The bedding was as comfortable as always. However, the facilities in the suite seem a bit old. For example, the bathroom only has a single washbasin, which is not very convenient to use and does not match the overall high-end feel. The restaurant was average, but the wine selection was unique, which gave me a sense of surprise during the wine tasting. However, the hotel's facilities are quite old and outdated. For example, the sauna is not hot enough to provide the relaxing experience I want, which makes me a little disappointed. In general, the location and scenery of Four Seasons Hotel are excellent, the room rates are relatively reasonable, and the attitude of the service staff is quite friendly. However, the hardware does need a facelift. Next time, among the options at the same price, I might consider Shangri-La and look forward to having a better accommodation experience.
