The homestay's flooring primarily uses 19th-century teak from the "Golden Age of Teak" - including ballast timber from European merchant ships, authorized logging from Thailand's royal forestry reform era, and smuggled wood from colonial-era Burmese plantations. The cobalt blue of Dutch stained glass plays harmoniously with the indigo of Thai blue-and-white porcelain - where fresh flowers and green plants have become permanent residents of the rooms.
