Explore Qiongkushitai Village in Xinjiang

Qiongkushitai Village is located in Kaladala Township, Tekes County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The village is 90 kilometers away from the county seat and is a pastoral village with more than 300 households and over 1,700 people. Most of the buildings in the village are wooden structures, making it a well-preserved wooden architectural complex in the Ili River Valley with significant historical and cultural value. Almost all the houses in Qiongkushitai Village are wooden. Some houses are built with whole logs, while others are constructed by splitting logs in half and using various techniques such as hollowing, mortise and tenon, and arching. There is also a famous Milk River on the way to Qiongkushitai, where the water is as white as milk, offering stunning scenery.
