Journey to Tegernsee starts by taking a train from Regensburg Hbf to Tegernsee station. It takes around 3-4 hours including transit at Munich for a train change. If you’re in Bavaria, consider taking the advantage of Bayern ticket where it cost you 27€ for a return journey using any regional train and bus within the day. But here’s a pro tip you can share up to 5 person for a train tix and it will be adding +8€ per person and if you divide it among you it will be much cost effective.
