Chontharasinghe Temple

Wat Chonlatharasinghe (Wat Phithak Phaen Din Thai) is located in Tambon Che Ha, Amphoe Tak Bai, Narathiwat Province. It is an old temple built during the reign of King Rama IV. Its distinctive features are its unique architecture, which combines Buddhist, Muslim, and Chinese styles. The landscape around the temple is a riverside atmosphere, which can be a place for tourists to relax. Therefore, it is considered a temple of great value and is a center of local landscape, culture, and architecture. It is also a temple of national historical significance because it is an ancient site of Thai Buddhists that the Thai government used as a reference for demarcation in 1898, which prevented this territory from being annexed to Malaysia, preventing Thailand from losing its independence and becoming a British colony. Therefore, it is nicknamed “Wat Phithak Phaen Din Thai” (history found on the internet). When we first entered the temple, we felt that it was very quiet, very peaceful, and there were few people. Looking around, we saw that the temple itself was quite unusual. The colors and patterns we thought it looked more like a house, but it was in a temple. The area is very spacious. You can walk around the whole place. Anyone passing by can come and visit.
