Tajimi Mosaic Museum Fujimori Architecture

#AutumnTravel #Trip2022 I went to Tajimi to visit Terunobu Fujimori's Mosaic Museum, which I had been wanting to visit. The building is modeled after a clay mountain, and you can look at it forever. There are stairs inside up to the 4th floor, but they are intentionally made a little thinner as you go further. The stairs are also made of straw and leaves...kneaded together with the soil. The building is modeled after a clay mountain, but it reminded me of pottery and clay figurines. Half of the 4th floor is unroofed, so you can enjoy the changes in the tiles depending on the weather. # Of course, if it rains, the floor will get wet. I had lunch with a drink at Swan Cafe. It seems that workshops can be held at both Swan Cafe and the Mosaic Museum. I didn't have time to do it, but I bought some tiles to take home. It was a really fun day.
