Taiyuan Museum Visit Part Two

When all these emotions accumulate together, we can glimpse the hopes and original wishes of the ancients and us today through each weapon, bronze ware, porcelain, jade, and even the damaged Qin bricks and Han tiles. For thousands of years, there has been a hope for tomorrow and a desire for the present's beauty. This is precisely the internal driving force and source behind history's continuous cycles. Whether it is the intricate and exquisite Bird-shaped Zun, the solemnity of the Bianzhong ritual bells, the sharpness of weapons and war chariots, the messages of endless succession conveyed by the Qin bricks and Han tiles, or the Chicken-head Pot symbolizing auspicious expectations—aren't these all shared across ancient and modern times, universally alike? After leaving the museum, we also briefly visited the calligraphy exhibition and others. In short, what lingered in my heart was the exquisite and shocking content of the museum, the detailed historical records, and the stunning unearthed artifacts. All of these require a long time to digest and absorb. There was a feeling of being overwhelmed. My son patiently accompanied me; he quickly discovered the museum's treasures one by one, while I couldn't help but take photos here and videos there to ensure I had enough material for later editing into text or video. Even these seemingly simple steps require considerable effort. History is profound, and ordinary people like us need spiritual nourishment as well as timely physical sustenance. For lunch, we simply found a knife-cut noodle restaurant, then hurriedly picked up the child's mother, and the three of us continued our afternoon tour of Jin Ci Temple Museum.
