Taitung Travel Adventure

The early summer sun in Taitung is truly intense—it's quite overwhelming! Kaixuan Starlight Hotel: Arriving at Taitung Train Station around noon, the service at Kaixuan Starlight Hotel was exceptional. Their shuttle bus was already waiting, creating a welcoming atmosphere that mirrored the warmth of the summer sun. Yet, inside the shuttle, the air conditioning provided a refreshing escape from the heat. The hotel rooms, as advertised in their brochures, offered stunning views of the sea and sky, making it easy to forget the looming stress of tomorrow's business meeting. Exploring by Bike: Borrowing a complimentary bike from the hotel was a thoughtful touch. With a bike, exploring the city became effortless. Having visited many cities, it's rare to find such convenient bike services. In Amsterdam, Colmar, Paris, and London, I relied on walking. In Quanzhou, Fujian, the "Little White Bike" initiative was a commendable policy, and Luoyang's tricycles were also convenient. Kaixuan Starlight Hotel deserves praise for providing bikes. Despite the scorching sun, I couldn't resist visiting Tianhou Temple, Tiehua Village, Forest Park, and Pipa Lake. I also enjoyed some rice noodles, shopped at malls, and strolled around. Although Taitung City is relatively small, making it hard to venture too far, it was still a delightful light travel experience, sweating under the sun while enjoying the gentle forest breeze.
