How to ride the bus: Here is the timetable

If you're traveling from Taipei to Jiufen by public transportation, there are two options. You can either take a bus directly to Jiufen, or Take the train to Ruifang Station and transfer to a bus to Jiufen. (Note: The bus stop is not near Taipei Station.) This article explains how to board the bus from Ruifang Station and the train timetable for the return trip to Taipei Station. *Please see the separate post for how to get from Taipei Station to Ruifang Station. Please see the post [From Taiwan Station to Shifen] m(_ _)m ◉ There's no bus timetable listed, but I didn't include it because bus timetables are practically nonexistent. The electronic signboards show real-time arrival times for each bus at the bus stop, so please refer to that. When I took a bus from Taipei to Jiufen, Jiufen is a mountain road, and the bus drivers are not as friendly as in Japan, so I felt unwell. Once sightseeing is no longer an option, I've decided to go to Jiufen by train and bus. 😅 Even if you wait for a bus on the way back and then take one heading towards Taipei, traffic around Taipei gets congested in the evenings. Taking the bus to Ruifang Station and then taking the train is less stressful, so I personally recommend it. However, it's still crowded, and if your train schedule doesn't work out when you arrive at Ruifang Station, you'll have to wait there too, so I recommend allowing yourself plenty of time and mental space. All things considered, it's best to allow yourself at least three hours. If you're waiting a little too long for the next train at Ruifang Station, I recommend waiting for it and enjoying some delicious Taiwanese food at Ruifang Food Street, which is open until 9 PM, before heading home. Check It Out!" m(_ _)m Even if you want to avoid the crowds, I personally think it's a waste to head home without waiting for sunset in Jiufen. I hope you enjoy a relaxing cup of tea in Jiufen, wait for the sun to set, and enjoy the lantern-lit scenery before heading home in a good mood.
