Taipei Yongkang Street Tofu Dessert, Bai Shui Douhua

One of the things I looked forward to the most during my trip to Taiwan was traditional desserts. While walking along Yongkang Street, I stumbled upon a quiet store with a white sign, 白水豆花. In fact, there are times when I am more drawn to local places like this than famous restaurants. Clean space, simple atmosphere The store is located in an alley a little away from the center of Yongkang Street, so there were more locals than tourists. The interior is small and cozy, but the warm lighting gave it a cozy feel, and the staff was quiet but friendly. You just have to choose from the menu without any complicated explanations. Soft and mild flavor, natural dohua The most famous menu here is, of course, the traditional dohua (豆花). I added tapioca pearls and maltose syrup to the ‘original dohua’, and I was amazed by the texture that melted in my mouth with the first spoonful. It was much softer than the dohua that is commonly eaten in Taiwan, and the sweetness that was not too stimulating filled my mouth. Should I say that it was a taste that made me feel comfortable? In particular, this place is said to be made using natural salt water and spring water from the Yilan region. That's why the rich flavor of the tofu and the harmony of the syrup in my mouth were really clean. There aren't many seats, so if there are no seats, you have to stand outside and eat. However, the standing area is nicely decorated, so it feels better to eat here. Store information Address: No. 34 Yongkang Street, Da'an District, Taipei Business hours: 14:00 ~ 20:30 every day (closed on Thursdays) Recommended menu: Original tofu + tapioca / peach jelly topping White water tofu, if you want to find a quiet and neat dessert even in the crowded Yongkang Street with tourists, this is a place I really recommend. If I go to Taipei next time, I think I'll go here again. If you want to experience the real taste of Taiwan, you must visit this place! #HawaiiFlightEvent
