Visiting the 'Puppetry: Embodiment of Diverse Cultures' special exhibition gave me a deeper understanding of the richness and cultural value of Asian puppetry. The exhibition features over ten thousand puppetry artifacts donated by Dr. Lin Jingfu, Chairman of the Taiwan Original Art and Culture Foundation, including puppets, stages, props, scripts, and masks, showcasing how puppetry embodies the cultural characteristics of various regions. The exhibition is divided into three main themes: 'Opening the Treasure Box of Puppetry', 'The Myriad Faces of Puppetry', and 'Viewing the Kaleidoscope of Puppetry', guiding the audience to appreciate these precious artworks from different perspectives. In addition to traditional puppetry from Taiwan, Minnan, and Hakka, there are also collections of puppets from Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan, and other places, each filled with historical and cultural stories.
