If time permits, you can also take a boat trip on the Tamsui River. From Shuanglian MRT Station, head towards Minsheng West Road and walk straight to reach Dadaocheng Wharf. Dadaocheng is located in Datong District, Taipei City, and got its name from the large open spaces used for drying rice. In the late 18th century, with the opening of Tamsui Port, Dadaocheng became the most prosperous commercial center in Taipei, serving as a hub for tea and fabric trade. Today, despite its historical changes, Dadaocheng remains a distribution center for traditional Chinese medicine, groceries, and fabrics on Dihua Street. It blends century-old architecture with new cultural and creative shops, exuding a unique vitality in the fusion of old and new. A beautiful and bustling place, highly recommended.
