Reunion Place Hong Kong-style Restaurant and Bar

Reunion Place is a Hong Kong-style restaurant and bar. The decor is very reminiscent of Hong Kong, making you feel like you're walking the streets of Hong Kong. There are seats on the ground floor and basement, with private rooms in the basement. Personally, I find the basement a bit stuffy and there's hookah smoke, so if you're not a fan, I wouldn't recommend sitting there. The menu features Hong Kong cuisine, and the drink menu is unique, with Hong Kong-style drinks perfectly recreated in alcoholic versions, making you feel like you're not drinking alcohol at all. For food, we ordered the Soul Rice, Cantonese-style Sausage Grilled Rice Ball, Typhoon Shelter Chicken Wings, and French Toast. The Soul Rice is Hong Kong-style char siu and fried egg rice, with a half-cooked fried egg mixed with rice and luncheon meat, giving it a very Hong Kong flavor. Initially, I was skeptical about the Cantonese-style Sausage Grilled Rice Ball, but the crispy rice crust combined with the rice and the fragrant sausage was very special, so I take back my skepticism. The Typhoon Shelter Chicken Wings, with a salty-sweet flavor, paired well with the chicken wings and were quite delicious. The French Toast was cut into small pieces, unlike the usual whole toast, with a crispy fried outer layer and maple syrup, making it very comforting. For drinks, I ordered a Mango Pomelo Sago, which really tasted like the dessert, with no hint of alcohol. The rich mango flavor combined with the milk foam was truly indulgent.
