Taipei｜The best value for money eel rice in the Jodori shopping district｜Hizenya

🌧️ We arrived at Hizenya at 11:30am on a rainy weekday, and business was as good as ever. Although you need to queue, the line moves quickly because the food is served and the dining experience is fast. 👫 You can only be seated when all the people are present. However, you will be given a menu when you are in line. You can order in advance to reserve it, so as to avoid the dishes you want to eat being sold out when you are seated (for example, the braised fish this time is a limited lunch dish, and we ordered it when we were in line). Please reserve it for the kitchen first). 🍱 We ordered a small box of eel rice (the small box has two slices of eel, the large box has three slices), which comes with miso soup. There is a self-service hot barley tea next to it, and cold drinks need to be purchased from the vending machine next to the store entrance. 😅 As a well-known eel restaurant in Taipei, the 240 yuan eel rice at Hizenya uses freshly grilled eels that are not frozen. Although it is not exquisite, the price and quality are beyond reproach (the small portion is also quite large, we Couldn’t finish it). 🍤 In addition, we also ordered grilled shrimp (one serving), fried oysters (three servings), and eel liver (two skewers). I don't eat these three, but my brother said that the liver tastes a bit Bitter, deep fried oysters served with tartar sauce and shredded lettuce were delicious. 🐟 The braised fish tastes like braised pork with sauce (the sauce goes well with rice). I don't know what kind of fish it is made of, but it tastes good, not too many bones, and the portion is not small. 🍆 The tempura was above average, not amazing but pretty good. In addition to two fried shrimps, there were also green peppers, eggplant, taro and a huge sweet potato. There was no dipping sauce and I didn’t see a sauce dish, so I was too lazy to order one and just ate it directly. The sauce and rice paired with the eel rice were surprisingly refreshing. 🍳 I didn't expect much from the egg rolls, I just wanted to eat a soft non-seafood dish. It looks like a normal omelette, but it tastes like steamed egg/soufflé, very soft and light in taste. If you have elders, I recommend this dish if you are dining with friends who are having their teeth straightened. 💰 Overall, this is a restaurant with a very high CP value.
