Xiaobei Ping Northern Noodles Minsheng Community Old Restaurant Songshan Delicacies
Located next to the bustling food district on Xindong Street, Xiaobei Ping is one of the local old restaurants. It mainly serves northern noodles and stir-fried dishes. Scallion pancakes and steamed dumplings are also must-tries.
Crispy roast chicken is highly recommended. Be sure to eat it while it's hot. The skin is super crispy, and the meat is tender. Even half a chicken is enough for two people. The signature classic dish He Cai Dai Mao and the cold mixed vegetable hearts are also very delicious. Highly recommended.

Follow Your Heart Travel the World 🛍️ Da Dao Cheng Pier Dock night market
#nightmarkets #100WaysOfTravel
A vibrant area at Da Dao Cheng Wharf, this is a container market style right beside the river. It is open in the day time until night time. When the weather is cooling, it is a good time to come over in the day time for less crowd. From evening onward, this night market area will be crowded. It is more like a dining by the river concept and there will be fireworks performance on selected days too. I recommend to climb up the stairs to the top of the container and enjoy a drink while looking out to the river.

Newly Opened Cloud Latte for Only 80 NTD! Fake Sober's New Space and Delicious Options.
Taipei City. Xinyi District|Sober Bakery
The newly opened 'Sober Bakery' is located right next to the first store, featuring a predominantly gray and black industrial style. The overall space is tall and spacious, giving off a very relaxing vibe. However, the second store only sells bread. If you want coffee, you need to buy it from the first store and bring it to the second store to enjoy. The cloud latte, exclusive to the first store, tastes like Korea's Einspänner, with a layer of thick, sweet cream covering the coffee. It's sweet but not overwhelming, making it very enjoyable. What's even more surprising is that a cup costs only 80 NTD, which is an incredibly reasonable price for the Xinyi District!

The Hyatt Regency Taipei at 101, also known as Hyatt Regency Taipei, is situated near Taipei 101, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. This luxury hotel offers stylish accommodations, contemporary amenities, and excellent dining options. Its proximity to Taipei 101 provides guests with easy access to high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Yangmingshan (Douliu Forest) is highly recommended for a visit
It's free to enter. Douliu Forest is located near the McDonald's on Yangde Boulevard, adjacent to Qing Shan Road leading to Qingtiangang. Opposite is the direction of the American military housing and Chinese Culture University. This prime location allows you to also visit the Western-style houses of the American military housing. The courtyard is filled with places to sit and rest, naturally slowing down your pace. Taipei is small and crowded, with overlapping lives and immense work and family pressures. Although life is convenient, it's easy to overlook the things around you or the care of others.
Fortunately, Taipei has mountains and water. If you want to escape and find peace, come to Yangmingshan. Because of this forest, you will linger. And because you linger, you will be accompanied by greenery and sunlight, pouring a moment of leisure into your coffee and savoring a taste of beauty.

Taiwan|Detailed guide for a solo female traveler's four-day, three-night trip to Taipei‼️
🔎Next, I will talk about my solo trip to Taipei daily itinerary and food details:
Day1: Taoyuan Airport-Taipei Main Station-Ximending
✔️After getting off Taoyuan Airport, I took a bus directly to Taipei Main Station (40 minutes, 150 Taiwan dollars). You can choose to stay near Taipei Main Station. I stayed in Ximending, one stop away from Taipei Main Station, and I ate and drank a lot in Ximending at night! Recommended food:
1. A Zong Rice Noodles🍜: The most popular one, the taste is great!
2. Small pepper squid soup: You must order braised pork rice!
3. Tiantianli: Their radish cake and oyster omelet are delicious!
Day2: National Taiwan University-Women's Bookstore-Shilin Night Market
✔️National Taiwan University is really big and beautiful, with quaint buildings, tall and long coconut boulevards and blooming greenery all over the campus, boys and girls riding bicycles chatting and laughing, it is really a campus idol drama! The Women's Bookstore is a few minutes' walk from NTU. It is a female-themed bookstore where girls can be whoever they want to be! I stayed there for an afternoon, quietly talking to Beauvoir and Woolf on a rainy afternoon in Taipei. I went to Shilin Night Market in the evening. The night market is similar to Ximending. You can buy whatever you want without any problems!
Day3: Tamsui High School-Tamsui Old Street-Tiaoshi Station
✔️ I went to Jay Chou's alma mater in the morning, but the high school is currently unable to enter. You can also check in at the Aletheia University next door, which is also very beautiful. Opposite the school is Fisherman's Wharf, the pine forest on the campus and the sea in the distance, the shoulders leaning against each other and the orange sunset. The students in the school are really happy! It takes a few minutes to walk to Tamsui Old Street. There are really many delicious foods here! ! ! After eating, you can take [962/963] from Tamsui Station to Tiaoshi Station (about an hour away). Behind Tiaoshi Station is the endless blue Pacific Ocean, which is worth a visit.
Day4: Museum-Shifen Station-Jiufen Station-Chifeng Street
✔️The museum is relatively close to Taipei Station, so you can go there to feel the depth of history. Shifen Station is to take the bus at Taipei Station and transfer at Ruifang. The journey takes about an hour (the ticket price is 68 Taiwan dollars). This is where Shen Jiayi released sky lanterns in those years. The price of sky lanterns is the same. You can choose the first or the last one, so that the background of the photo is cleaner. Then you can walk along the station to Shifen Waterfall, which is spectacular and cool. Then you can take a bus from Shifen Station to Jiufen or take the forest train back to Taipei. Jiufen is recommended to go at night, which has a Spirited Away feeling. Chifeng Street is a literary and artistic street district, and you can go to Citywalk for a while.
❤️Taipei is a place where the bustling urban feeling and the strong atmosphere of fireworks coexist. Here you can feel the simple and warm kindness of sincere Taipei people to strangers every day. They will greet you gently and take good care of you. At that time, I feel that I have become gentle because I am treated gently by the whole world. They will call you sister sweetly, just like family. This is the infinite charm of Taiwan

Taipei Dongmen Station Delicious Tiramisu Nostalgic Cafe.
| Taipei. Dongmen |
'Exaggerated Antique Cafe' is a cafe I stumbled upon on the map. What caught my eye was the blue wooden window frame surrounding the entrance of an old military dependents' village house. Inside, the cafe is filled with nostalgic furniture and old items collected by the owner, stacked in every corner (you'll keep saying 'so cute~ so cool~ so nostalgic~). On weekday afternoons, there aren't many people, and the energetic and straightforward owner warmly greets you.
I chose the lemon-flavored signature tiramisu, #CoffeeLemonTiramisu, which has an ice cream-like texture. The slight bitterness of the coffee paired with the sugar crystals and lemon slices on top is truly delicious!! The pudding has a simple and rustic appearance, with a smooth texture, though it might be a bit too sweet if I had to nitpick!! Finally, pairing it with a latte featuring the owner's cute hand-drawn designs, you can quietly enjoy a nostalgic afternoon~ it's quite nice.
🔰 Coffee Lemon Tiramisu / $150
🔰 Iced Latte / $180
🔰 Adult's Pudding / (forgot the price)
Note that there are some areas in the cafe where photography is not allowed, as per the owner's only rule, which includes the Buddha table and the menu (but the menu is really cute too)~ please respect this.

Taipei 101 Observatory: Stunning Skyline Views
The Taipei 101 Observatory offers a breathtaking skyline view experience. Standing on the observation deck feels like being above the clouds, with the entire cityscape of Taipei unfolding before your eyes. The towering buildings, bustling traffic, and distant mountains and bays create a magnificent panorama. The rapid ascent of the elevator provides an unprecedented thrill and excitement. The wind damper on the observation deck is a perfect blend of technology and art, showcasing human ingenuity and creativity. This visit deeply impressed me with the splendor and beauty of Taipei.
Dumpling Delight: Xing Fu Tang Xiao Long Bao in Ximending
#localfood
Xing Fu Tang Xiao Long Bao in Ximending, Taipei, is a must-visit for dumpling enthusiasts.
Nestled in the lively streets of Ximending, this spot serves up perfectly crafted xiao long bao that burst with flavour. The thin, delicate skin encases a juicy, savory filling that’s pure comfort in every bite. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great place to savor these soup-filled delights. Pair them with a side of vinegar and ginger, and you’ve got yourself a meal that’s both satisfying and soul-warming. It’s a taste of Taipei you won’t want to miss!

Taipei Travel Dongmen Station Hipster Style Afternoon Tea Shop Wool and Flowers.
The popular Yongkang shop 'Wool and Flowers' has a cute and cozy interior, which somehow gives me the illusion of being at Shida University.
The desserts don't quite suit my taste—the pudding texture is really smooth, but the caramel part is a bit too sweet for me, which is a bit of a pity. The caramel crisp latte was just a craving.
If you want to chat for an afternoon, it's highly recommended, but if you want to eat to your heart's content, there are more options around Dongmen.

Every time when I go Taipei I’ll visit this Starbucks at Han Zhong (漢中門市), located in Ximending – one of the busiest areas in Taipei. It was the first “Old Building Starbucks” store in Taiwan.
This building features a strong local feeling. The canton tile exterior design and wooden indoor decorations have created a pristine atmosphere for this Starbucks.
I guarantee that you will be stunned by the spaciousness created by the strut structure from the rooftop to the bottom. It’s just so beautiful!

A Taste of Taipei 004 | Authentic Korean Bistro Run by a Korean Oppa · Halu Good Days
After a busy week, a small weekend is the perfect time to have a drink and chat. A Korean bistro is an ideal choice for this. Located in Lane 216 of the Eastern District, Halu Good Days is an authentic restaurant run by a Korean oppa. It is usually very busy and sometimes requires waiting in line, making it a great place for gatherings with friends.
Marinated raw crab is a key dish that tests the difficulty of Korean cuisine. Freshness and lack of fishiness are crucial. The creamy texture with each bite makes you want to spin around ❤️
The sea snail and mussel hangover soup is also exceptional. Just drinking the soup is enough to amaze you, not to mention the abundance of ingredients inside. I highly recommend it 👍

Foreign friends visiting Taipei must try the 'Dadaocheng Braised Pork Rice'
When foreign friends visit Taipei, they often love to explore several unique attractions. Dadaocheng and Dihua Street are usually must-visit spots. Among them, they especially love to go for this bowl of braised pork rice. It's already quite famous in Wanhua. Although I'm not a braised pork rice enthusiast, I can call it one of the representatives among many classic snacks!
🌟 The braised pork here is mostly fatty meat. I don't eat fatty meat, but my friends love its rich yet not greasy taste. They also love pairing it with spicy pickled vegetables, which surprisingly taste quite good! I always remind them to add a half-cooked fried egg. Mixing the egg yolk with the rice is the classic way to enjoy it 😋. For those who can handle the heat, adding the chili sauce on the side makes for a perfect combination!
🌟 For those who love intestines, you can order the old braised large intestines. Other options like braised cabbage, bamboo shoots, pork knuckles, and braised pork belly can turn a snack shop into a feast. Don't forget to order the radish rib soup for a satisfying meal!
💯 If you have the chance to bring foreign friends to Dadaocheng, a food tour here is a must. The combination of large chunks of fatty and lean braised pork with rich soup and half-cooked egg rice is delightful. The taste and environment are great, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended 👍
📍 No. 17, Lane 220, Chang'an West Road, Datong District, Taipei City
Foreign friends visiting Taipei must try 'Ding Hao Zi Lin' Dumpling House.
When friends from abroad visit Taipei, they often love several of the city's unique attractions. The Eastern District is usually a must-visit itinerary. Besides shopping, I always recommend them to dine at this place, which I consider my post-work kitchen. With a variety of dishes, Zi Lin Dumpling House never gets old, no matter how many times you visit. 😋
🌟 The main dishes include steamed and fried dumplings, soup noodles, mixed noodles, and pancakes. If you're dining with a group, it's a good idea to order a variety and share. The middle section offers side dishes, mostly common cold dishes that are hard to go wrong with. They also have hot and sour soup and beef egg soup to pair with your meal. In the summer, the barley and mung bean soup is cheap, delicious, and refreshing!
🌟 For first-time visitors, I recommend trying two things: the 'potstickers,' which have a crispy skin and juicy filling, making them a popular choice; and the steamed dumplings, with options like 'fresh meat dumplings' and 'vegetable dumplings.' 🥟 The dumpling skin is chewy, and the filling is rich and flavorful. They taste even better with the accompanying sauce, and you'll find yourself eating one after another. 👍
💯 This place is popular among tourists from Japan and Hong Kong. Luckily, the location expanded, so you can get a seat quickly even if there's a line. If you get a chance to visit again, I highly recommend the spicy dry beef noodles (better than the soup version) and the beef roll pancake, which are my go-to dishes! Delicious.

Taipei's Popular Japanese Oden: Taikoban ODEN BAR
Taikoban ODEN BAR in Donghu is famous for its unique Japanese-style oden and its charming female owner. Starting from a small food cart, it has now expanded to a large store on Jinhu Road, also offering grilled dishes and sake. The business is so good that people start lining up as soon as it opens in the evening!
First, queue for a seat, then order oden and grilled items in sequence. The essence of oden lies in its broth, which is made from simmered vegetables and fruits, giving it a refreshing and sweet taste. If you finish the broth, you can even ask for a refill.
The oden features many Japanese ingredients, such as apple simmered with a whole apple, cod tofu, high mountain baby cabbage, and fish roe pouches.
However, the favorite is the burdock tempura, which has a different flavor whether eaten dry or soaked in the broth. It has a sweet and savory sea flavor, making it very addictive.
The atmosphere inside the store is like a spacious Japanese izakaya, perfect for pairing with grilled dishes or stir-fries. The grilled fish and stir-fried udon are both good choices, and a glass of beer makes it even more refreshing. Many families living nearby, students, and office workers come here for a drink after work.
