Xinyi Street Coral Stone Huang Residence - Grand Opening Exhibition

Hidden in the alleys, the "Xinyi Street Coral Stone Huang Residence" is one of Tainan's historical landmarks, boasting over a century of history! The English translation on the gate reads "Architecture Museum Xinyi Street of Coral Stone," which reveals that the so-called coral stone architecture is actually constructed using coral reef limestone. In ancient times, this type of material was considered exceptionally durable. The opening exhibition features the achievements of the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University! The display methods are quite unique, with some works affixed to walls, others placed on tables, some laid on the ground, and even some suspended from the ceiling—an embodiment of the "less is more" philosophy. After exploring the exhibition, don't forget to check out the backyard. The backyard not only features landscaping but also has a staircase leading to the second floor.
