Heaven and Hell in Tainan

Madou Daitianfu, also known as Madou Five Kings Temple, is a Wangye Temple in Madou District, Tainan City. It is the largest temple in Madou District and the second largest temple in Tainan in terms of total area, second only to Nankunshen Daitianfu. It was rebuilt in 1956 and is also known as the Thousand-Year-Old Founding Temple of the Five Prefectures in Taiwan because of its numerous branches. In addition to slides and sand pools, there is also a pavilion that simulates the 18 levels of hell and the paradise to serve as a warning and encourage good deeds. There is also a giant dragon in the temple that is a very attractive scene. The cleaning fee is 40 yuan for adults and 20 yuan for children. To be honest, the atmosphere in the 18 levels of hell is quite good. The punishments in each level of hell are explained with what kind of bad people would be here, and the mechanisms are moving. Compared with heaven, it is a bit boring!
