Today, Sasha and I ordered a kimchi, pork and tofu hotpot for 250 yuan, plus an upgraded set meal for 99 yuan, which included three Korean side dishes + fried dumplings + blue citrus soda (349 yuan), and a fried chicken fist rice (150 yuan), for a total of 499 yuan. Cash transactions do not require invoices. (This is very Korean restaurant) The three side dishes that come with the pork and tofu hotpot are pickled white radish, edamame, and Korean kimchi. At first glance, the radish looks like slices of yuzu radish. It tastes like white vinegar and sugar and the taste is very light. It doesn't have the smell of raw radish but is very refreshing. The edamame is just average black pepper edamame. Korean kimchi is the most authentic Korean of the three side dishes. It is less sweet and is chopped finely, which is more suitable for pairing with barbecue wraps and lettuce. Pork pot using this kind of kimchi is different from friends. The side dish was fried dumplings with Western wine. The Western wine sauce was a bit sweet and thick, but the dumplings were just average. I have no idea after eating. It wasn't bad except that it was a bit hard. For drinks, I chose blue citrus soda instead of ice water. The main course is pork hotpot with rice and mixed vegetables! The contents include Korean fish cake, kimchi, tofu, enoki mushrooms, cabbage, wood ear, onion, and pork slices. For 250 yuan, the ingredients are very generous. Although the ingredients are not high-end, they are very fresh. It may be related to their table turnover rate during meal periods. If there is a flow of people, the ingredients don’t need to be kept for too long. The soup is smooth and tasty, but the seasoning is a bit light for me. The Korean kimchi tofu has an authentic and thick seasoning flavor. The three base seasonings of mashed garlic, chili powder, and sesame oil are very generous, but this one is light, which may also be due to the Taiwanese taste. The flavor of sugar and soy sauce is moderate. Salsa is usually eaten with soup and rice. The mixed vegetables are well seasoned, but the taste is a little bland due to the lack of sesame oil. The fried chicken fist rice is mainly made of seaweed and mayonnaise. The cucumber 🥒 and corn kernels are there to provide a refreshing feeling and counteract the sweetness of mayonnaise. The fried chicken is ordinary and can be skipped. The fist rice will be mixed evenly with your gloves, and then molded into the shape of a rice ball. I usually just mix it up and use a spoon to eat it as rice. Nori and mayonnaise are delicious and definitely not bad. Mix with your favorite seasonal vegetables.
