Li Shan Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall - A Must-Visit in April 2025

Located halfway to Fushoushan Farm, the Li Shan Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall is a distinctive building situated on the route from Li Shan to Fushoushan Farm. Established in 1971, the hall primarily showcases the history of the Central Cross-Island Highway development, as well as introducing Atayal cultural artifacts and the region's natural ecology. The exhibition hall is divided into two floors with four display areas. On the first floor, visitors can explore the "History of the Central Cross-Island Highway Development," which documents the hardships of constructing the highway and the heroic deeds associated with it. Another section introduces "Atayal Culture," including Atayal naming traditions, traditional toys, and facial tattoo practices. The second floor features a cultural exhibition area dedicated to the Atayal people residing in the Li Shan region, showcasing traditional architecture, tools, clothing, daily life, hunting experiences, and craftsmanship such as weaving and bamboo work. Additionally, visitors can see ancient items like the mouth harp, a traditional instrument used by Atayal men and women to express affection.
