東勢林場一年四季都有不同的花卉可賞，1-3月的梅花、櫻花、杜鵑花，4-5月的油桐花、11-12月楓紅紅爆整個山頭最美。林場重視水土保養，3-9月的季節都可以看到螢火蟲的蹤跡。農場有解說員可以生動的介紹昆蟲及植物的有趣故事。

林場內有兒童遊樂場、露營烤肉區、森林浴健康步道及設備完善的渡假小木屋，就是想抓住不同年齡階段的遊客都來農場放鬆、享受大自然的美好。

The forest farm has a children's playground, a camping and barbecue area, a forest bathing health trail and well-equipped holiday cabins. The purpose is to attract tourists of different ages to come to the farm to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

這次來到宮原眼科，當然不能錯過這裡最有名的冰淇淋！店內提供超過50種口味，選擇真的超級多，從濃郁的巧克力、香醇的茶葉口味，到清爽的台灣水果風味，每一種都讓人難以抉擇。最後我選了鐵觀音+愛文芒果的組合，茶香醇厚、果香濃郁，搭配手工餅乾與鳳梨酥，口感層次豐富，每一口都是享受！


除了冰淇淋，這裡的伴手禮也超吸引人，包裝精美又有特色。我特地挑了鳳梨酥、乳酪蛋糕和巧克力帶回家，讓家人也能品嚐台中的美味。整體來說，宮原眼科不僅是視覺上的享受，美食更是令人驚艷，推薦給來台中的朋友一定要來試試！

This time I visited Miyahara, and of course, I couldn't miss their most famous ice cream! The store offers over 50 flavors, with an incredible variety to choose from. From rich chocolate and aromatic tea flavors to refreshing Taiwanese fruit flavors, each one makes it hard to decide. I ended up choosing a combination of Tieguanyin tea and Irwin mango. The tea was rich and fragrant, the mango was flavorful, and paired with handmade cookies and pineapple cakes, the texture was rich and every bite was a delight!

Besides the ice cream, the souvenirs here are also very attractive, with exquisite and unique packaging. I specifically picked up some pineapple cakes, cheesecake, and chocolate to bring home so my family could also taste the deliciousness of Taichung. Overall, Miyahara is not only a visual treat but also a culinary delight. I highly recommend it to friends visiting Taichung!

稍來山，位於台中市和平區大雪山森林遊樂區，海拔2,307公尺，山頂建有十多公尺的森林防火瞭望台，台上視野良好，可俯瞰西側的鳶嘴山、橫嶺山連稜（小百岳編號39～如果有收集小百岳）

一般民眾可以選擇較平緩輕鬆的路線，即由35.1K收費站登山口開始走，全程是緩之字坡的親民步道，沿途綠意盎然林相優美，非常舒適怡人。

途中都是人造林，偶而有不少造型奇特的巨木屹立著，抬頭仰望樹稍，光線由空隙間灑下來的折射光線真是漂亮，原始森林綠意盎然，仿佛置身在綠野仙境中。

Shaolai Mountain, located in the Daxueshan Forest Recreation Area in Heping District, Taichung City, stands at an altitude of 2,307 meters. At the summit, there is a forest fire lookout tower that is over ten meters tall, offering excellent views of the western side, including Yunzui Mountain and Hengling Mountain Ridge (Xiaobaiyue No. 39 - for those collecting Xiaobaiyue peaks).

Visitors can choose a gentler and more relaxed route, starting from the 35.1K toll station trailhead. The entire trail is a friendly zigzag path with lush greenery and beautiful forest scenery, making it very comfortable and pleasant.

Along the way, you will pass through man-made forests, occasionally encountering uniquely shaped giant trees standing tall. Looking up at the treetops, the light filtering through the gaps creates beautiful refractions. The pristine forest is lush and green, making you feel as if you are in a green wonderland.

A Friendly Green Wonderland - Shaolai Mountain Trail

這裡曾經是日治時期刑務所獄官們的宿舍，從大正、昭和一路至今，還有當初的演武場，就是司獄官們練劍道柔術的地方，曾在國民政府來台時，擔任過關押犯人的場域。
不管你喜歡漫畫，或是喜歡日式建築，或者只想拍美照打卡，這裡絕對能滿足你的需求。
園區超過2公頃，19棟建築散落在東側及北側園區內，是全台刑務所體系日式建築保存最完整的建築群，最引人注目的就是九重葛怒放的這棟9號宿舍，鮮紅的花色與古樸對稱的古建築輝映。
目前收藏超過1.5萬本漫畫，小時候的少年快報、東立漫畫，甚至更早期父輩才會知道的漫畫大王，看不完的漫畫，就像走入時光隧道，回到出刊就跑到同學家，大家輪流看漫畫的童年。也有近年金漫獎畫家的介紹區域，用九柑仔店、一桿秤仔，讓更多人了解台灣漫畫。策展空間，也運用新舊對比，實物與虛幻漫畫對稱手法，來介紹各國漫畫家。
如果喜歡日式建築，台中刑務所建築物可以看戰後、大正、昭和三個年代不同工法，其中造型對稱、地板架高隔絕濕氣、簷廊、屋旁老樹遮蔭、才能讓屋內通風冬暖夏涼。
最特別的是，一棵原本包裹著磚造建築的大樹，在建物倒塌後，留下盤根錯節彷彿樹屋的大洞，裡面還能看到昔日格局與馬桶。如同走過百年的日式建物，如今成為漫畫的載體，走向下一個百年。

Natural Way Six Arts Cultural Center

台中｜百年獄官宿舍變身漫畫時光隧道 九重葛怒放輝映日式建築群

This used to be the dormitory for prison officers during the Japanese colonial period, from the Taisho and Showa periods to the present day. There is also the original martial arts field, which was where the prison officers practiced kendo and judo. It was used as a place to detain prisoners when the Nationalist government came to Taiwan.
Whether you like comics, Japanese architecture, or just want to take beautiful photos and check in, this place will definitely meet your needs.
The campus covers an area of ​​more than 2 hectares, with 19 buildings scattered on the east and north sides of the campus. It is the most complete Japanese-style building complex in the Taiwan prison system. The most eye-catching is Dormitory No. 9 with bougainvillea in full bloom. The bright red flowers complement the quaint and symmetrical ancient buildings.
Currently, I have a collection of over 15,000 comic books, including the Shonen Express and Dongli Comics from my childhood, and even the earlier comic books that only our parents would know about, the Comic King. There are so many comics that I can’t finish reading. It’s like walking into a time tunnel, going back to the childhood when the comics were published and I would run to my classmates’ houses and take turns reading them. There is also an introduction area for artists who have won the Golden Comic Award in recent years, using Jiuganzai Store and Yigangchengzi to let more people know about Taiwanese comics. The curatorial space also uses the contrast between the old and the new, and the symmetry between real objects and imaginary comics to introduce cartoonists from various countries.
If you like Japanese architecture, you can see the different construction methods of the Taichung Prison buildings from the post-war, Taisho, and Showa eras. The symmetrical shape, raised floors to isolate moisture, eaves, and old trees beside the house provide shade, which allows the house to be ventilated and warm in winter and cool in summer.
The most special thing is that a big tree that originally wrapped the brick building left behind a big hole with tangled roots that looked like a tree house after the building collapsed. The original layout and toilet can still be seen inside. Just like a Japanese building that has gone through a century, it has now become a carrier of comics and is heading towards the next century.

Taichung｜The century-old prison officer dormitory is transformed into a comic time tunnel, with bougainvillea in full bloom reflecting the Japanese-style buildings

1905年台中驛開通，昭和38年的木造舊站，在大正六年三月進行改造完成第二代，紅磚牆面配上水平白色飾帶，所謂的自由古典風格建築。車站一樓為磚造建築，而當年屋頂採西式木造屋架，上面覆蓋銅板瓦。台中車站的建築正中央設置有鐘塔，形成當時臺中市的地標。山牆下方裝飾有台灣本土盛產的香蕉、鳳梨、蓮霧等水果花紋，將外銷日本的農產品展示其中。
設計師是辰野金吾，跟首爾當年朝鮮銀行，如今的貨幣金融博物館、還有東京車站，是系出同門。
隨著第三代台中車站啟用，台中車站也是全台唯一「三代同堂」的車站，為了活化舊車站，軌道上兩列列車變成咖啡廳及小賣部，枕木變身座位區，加上台鐵販售的鐵路商品，形成所謂的「台中驛鐵道文化園區」。剛好上個月在首爾，在現代化進程中，建於1925年的首爾站老建築，變身文藝空間「文化站284」，就是最後三張照片，舊的建築修繕保存，加上充滿新時代創意的藝文展覽，讓空間呈現新舊融合與當代藝術內涵。
而台中驛，兩列車廂為了賣「懷舊」用小物拼湊的風格、或是加上理髮店的三色旋轉燈，少了歷史脈絡的活化少了點味道，可能會讓歷史迷或鐵道迷，感覺沒那麼精彩。

Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park

台中｜明治38年至今唯一「三代同堂」車站 百年台中驛活化

Taichung Station opened in 1905, with the wooden old station built in Showa 38. It was renovated in March of Taisho 6 to become the second generation, featuring a free classical architectural style with red brick walls and horizontal white decorative bands. The first floor of the station was made of brick, and the roof was constructed with Western-style wooden trusses covered with copper tiles. The central part of the Taichung Station building had a clock tower, making it a landmark in Taichung City at that time. The gable was decorated with patterns of locally produced fruits such as bananas, pineapples, and wax apples, showcasing agricultural products exported to Japan.

The designer was Tatsuno Kingo, who also designed the Bank of Joseon in Seoul (now the Bank of Korea Money Museum) and Tokyo Station. With the opening of the third generation Taichung Station, it became the only station in Taiwan with 'three generations under one roof.' To revitalize the old station, two trains on the tracks were transformed into a café and a small shop, with railway ties turned into seating areas. Combined with railway merchandise sold by Taiwan Railways, it formed the 'Taichung Station Railway Culture Park.'

Coincidentally, last month in Seoul, the old building of Seoul Station, built in 1925, was transformed into the cultural space 'Culture Station 284' amidst modernization. The last three photos show the old building's restoration and preservation, along with art exhibitions full of contemporary creativity, presenting a blend of old and new with contemporary artistic connotations.

However, at Taichung Station, the two train carriages are styled with nostalgic items or barbershop poles, lacking historical context, which might make history or railway enthusiasts feel less impressed.

Revitalization of Taichung Station: The Only 'Three Generations Under One Roof' Station Since 1905

天氣稍回暖，只追櫻花就太可惜了，溫暖的台中黃花風鈴木悄悄地怒放，一片金黃映照藍天，彷彿在宣告春天已經到來。
這座廍子公園，2007年完工，佔地五公頃，原本是廍子區段徵收，後面因為地處車籠埔隱性斷層帶上，都市計劃變更，不蓋住宅，改建為地區公園，作為台中北屯居民休閒之用。當時還從南投遷回老榕樹，成為話題。沒想到後來反而因為黃花風鈴木，近年讓廍子公園成為賞花盛地，被喻為台中最美的「黃金公園」。
黃花風鈴木其實是外來種，原生在南美屬中度耐旱植物，最高可以長到35英尺，相當於三層樓高。台中、彰化、嘉義八掌溪畔及台南，都有它的蹤跡，當年是熱門的綠化用植栽。
說回廍子公園，台中車站搭51號公車、或台中市區搭15號皆可抵達廍子景賢路口。

Originally, the area was acquired for development, but due to its location on the Chelungpu Fault, the urban plan was changed, and it was converted into a regional park for the leisure of Beitun residents in Taichung. At that time, an old banyan tree was relocated from Nantou, becoming a topic of discussion. Unexpectedly, the park later became a popular spot for flower viewing due to the Tabebuia chrysantha, earning the title of Taichung's most beautiful 'Golden Park.'
The Tabebuia chrysantha is actually an exotic species, native to South America, moderately drought-tolerant, and can grow up to 35 feet tall, equivalent to a three-story building. It can be found along the banks of the Bajhang River in Taichung, Changhua, Chiayi, and Tainan, and was a popular choice for greening projects back in the day.
As for Buzih Park, you can take bus No. 51 from Taichung Station or bus No. 15 from downtown Taichung to reach the entrance at Jingxian Road.
