Taichung Attractions_Baxianshan National Forest Park

I saw a friend climbing Baxian Mountain on Facebook and thought it was beautiful. It just so happened that I had the opportunity to visit Baxian Mountain recently. It is a national forest recreation area and a paradise for mountain birds. The ecology is very diverse, with the beautiful Shiwen River, cherry blossom forest, tung oil forest and bamboo forest. You can walk to the top and climb the stairs to the top of the Seven Heroes of Guguan. There is Baxian Mountain with an altitude of 2,366 meters! However, it takes 8 hours to go back and forth and we climbed 1,400 meters, so we just gave up. XDD There are many bamboo forests in the park, mainly bamboos of the genus Phyllostachys and Phyllostachys sibiricum As we walked, we also met a group of monkeys coming down the mountain(?) We saw very small little macaques, so cute (They may become super annoying when they grow up) The visitor center of Baxian Mountain has a lot of historical and ecological information (In the past, Baxian Mountain was listed as one of the three major forests in Taiwan, along with Alishan and Taiping Mountain) There are also insect specimens on the second floor to learn about the creatures around Baxian Mountain I think it is very suitable for bringing children to visit! Go down from the visitor center to the viewing platform of Shiwen Creek. You can see a small waterfall. There are jagged rocks in the creek. White and gray-green rocks are arranged irregularly. The water is very clear and it is very comfortable to sit on the chair!
