The Nanyuan in Taicang is very beautiful🪴

The Nanyuan in Taicang really took my breath away! Taicang, a small Jiangnan city often overlooked by tourists, has an excellent geographical location. It is right next to Shanghai, yet it remains quiet and tranquil, like a paradise on earth. The first time I entered the downtown area of Taicang, it was already evening. I purposefully chose to visit Nanyuan for a stroll. Having come to Taicang, I chose Nanyuan because I like gardens. I always feel that in the cities of Jiangnan, a classical garden can represent the essence of the city. Nanyuan in Taicang, also known as Taishi Mansion, was built during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era by the then Prime Minister Wang Wensu. It was where Minister Wang planted plum trees and chrysanthemums and dealt with official affairs, and it was once the foremost scenic spot in Taicang. Touring Nanyuan, it lacks a bit of the original charm of classical gardens, but the reconstructed garden is still very beautiful and pretty. The early autumn garden is lush with greenery, continuous lotus fields, and rippling pond waters. Walking around, there is also a sense of beauty as if leisurely roaming in a poetic and picturesque setting.
