Manila American Cemetary - Manila American Cemetery and Memorial

I had known about this place in BGC for a long time, but I had never been able to visit it because I didn't know you could go inside. By chance, I found out that it was open to the public when I was reading this article, so I decided to visit. You can enter for free if you just register your ID at the entrance gate. This is a place to mourn mainly Americans and Filipinos who died in World War II. The site is very large, with countless graves (white crosses) lined up on well-maintained lawns. In the back center is the visitor center, where they display the history of the war. I was able to learn about the situation at that time, and there were some scenes that made me feel a little sad about the tragic situation. The place itself is very pleasant to walk around. It was a very rare experience to learn about history and think about the situation at that time, while escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. #solotravel
