5. REVIEW OF SWITZERLAND TRAVEL (ZURICH – LUCERNE – INTERLAKEN) ON YOUR OWN Switzerland is truly a “paradise of nature”: snow-capped mountains, blue lakes and extremely fresh air. I went for 6 days and 5 nights, traveling mainly by train. PREPARATION BEFORE THE TRIP Schengen visa: can be applied for at the Swiss Embassy. Airfare: Hanoi – Zurich round trip ~23–25 million/person. Swiss Travel Pass: extremely convenient for traveling by train, bus, boat. Warm clothes: even in summer it can be cold in the mountains. TRAVEL All travel by train + public bus, extremely punctual and clean. Interlaken is an ideal place to go to Jungfraujoch – “the roof of Europe”. CHECK-IN LOCATIONS Zurich: Lake Zurich, Bahnhofstrasse shopping street, Grossmünster church. Lucerne: Chapel Bridge, Lion statue, Lake Lucerne. Interlaken: take the cable car or funicular to Jungfraujoch to see the snow all year round. EAT AND DRINK Fondue cheese, Swiss chocolate, rösti (Swiss fries).
