Visiting in cherry blossom season added an ethereal layer to its historic aura. As I walked through the temple grounds, cherry trees in full bloom framed the pagodas and red temple walls, creating a scene of serenity and timeless beauty. The soft sound of bells mingled with the chirping of birds and the rustle of blossoms. Worshippers lit incense while petals floated around them.
