Hotel Review: Hyatt Regency Suzhou

Before going to the Hyatt Regency Suzhou, I read mixed reviews online, especially about a room type with a very poor view, and I was really worried. I didn't receive any emails or phone calls beforehand, but I proactively contacted the hotel and was able to arrange a slightly better room. The official response was that they would record my request and try to fulfill it. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The soundproofing is good, but I don't know if it's due to the material used on the exterior of the hotel, but I could hear "crackling" sounds at night. The cleanliness was excellent, and there were no fingerprints or water stains on the large mirror in the bathroom. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: As an Explorist, I was given a Ferris wheel view room, which I was very happy with. The room design is also ingenious, creating a unique space. The "Hyatt Living Room" adds a touch of privacy to the entire room. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The standard Hyatt Le Labo 33# products, except for the body lotion, are all in large bottles. 💰Average Spend: With room rates of 2,000+ all year round, it ranks in the top three in Suzhou. The hardware is good, but there is room for improvement in service. 💗Other Tips: There are not many breakfast stalls, and in terms of the food, I personally think it is a bit worse than the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou. There are no highlights or memorable items, just the basics. The hotel is next to Jinji Lake, so you can take a walk in the morning when there are fewer people and the air is fresh. The entire hotel is like a Suzhou-style mansion, with a three-courtyard layout, koi carp in the atrium, and Chinese elements everywhere. Although there was a small problem during the stay, the front office management handled it very professionally and efficiently, which made me feel that the Hyatt Regency Suzhou was still worth it!
