✨ Beisi Pagoda is a landmark ancient building in the ancient city of Suzhou. In the past, people would go to the attractions on the right side of the pagoda, such as the Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road. But this time, on the way to the lesser-known Wufeng Garden in Suzhou, I followed the signs and passed through a new neighborhood, unknowingly arriving at the Taohuawu Historical and Cultural Area in Suzhou. 🌸 Upon entering the Taohuawu Historical and Cultural Area, I realized that it is really large. Like other architectural complexes in Suzhou, it is mainly white and includes the former residence site of Tang Yin, Wenchang Pavilion, Taohuawu Art Museum, and more. Some are open, while others are closed. 🔸 Wenchang Pavilion Entering from the south gate, the first thing you see is this three-story Wenchang Pavilion. In ancient times, it was a traditional sacrificial building used to worship Wenchang Dijun, the deity in charge of literary fortune and fame. This Wenchang Pavilion is accessible, and you can go up to the top floor. On the third floor, there are various statues of Wenchang Dijun made from different materials. The most exciting part is that from the windows, you can see both Beisi Pagoda and the Gate of the Orient in the same frame. 🔹 Former Residence Site of Tang Yin The lotus pond in front of the former residence is stunning in the summer. This place showcases the personal experiences of Tang Yin (Tang Bohu), recreates the living scenes of that time, and displays some of his calligraphy and paintings. 🔸 Taohuawu Art Museum The art museum has two floors and holds exhibitions periodically. Inside, there are multiple exhibition halls, a cultural and creative area, and a rest area. ♨️ Additionally, there are Luyuan Pavilion Art Museum, Taohuawu Woodblock New Year Pictures, Suzhou Local Chronicles Museum, Yinmeng Courtyard, and other places closely related to traditional intangible cultural heritage and Suzhou's historical culture. ✨ Walking west along Taohuawu Street, Wufeng Garden is near the Changmen Gate. However, when I went there, the garden was closed for maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. But by chance, I walked into the nearby Taibo Temple. 🍲 There are many snack shops on Xizhongshi Street, although it was a bit deserted. They all looked quite authentic. I walked into a shop called 'Sandeli Wrinkled Silk Soup Dumpling House' and ordered their soup dumplings and mung bean soup. The taste and cost-performance ratio were very down-to-earth.
