Lion Grove Garden

Lion Grove Garden was first built during the Yuan Dynasty and is one of the representatives of Chinese classical private garden architecture. Unlike typical landscape gardens, Lion Grove Garden is very unique: each rockery group in the garden is deeply imbued with Zen meaning, which is unique in Suzhou. Lion Grove Garden is famous for its picturesque and serene rockeries made of lake stones. The rockeries are large in scale, with undulating peaks and a majestic aura. It is not an exaggeration to describe it as 'People say I live in the city, but I suspect I am in the midst of thousands of mountains.' Therefore, Lion Grove Garden is known as the 'Kingdom of Rockeries.'
