During this time, the museum's collection has collected about 30,000 artifacts, of which 250 are classified as national treasures of the first level, 1100 as national treasures of the second level, and another 13,000 as national treasures of the third level. However, the main thing here is probably not even the collection, but the appearance of the museum. It becomes clear as soon as you approach the entrance. The new building was built in 2006 according to the design of the most famous Chinese architect Bei Yuming (also known as Pei, Y. M.). Bei comes from a very famous family, and the museum is located on the territory of their family ancient temple near the Lion Grove garden. The museum was built in the traditional colors of the city like white and gray, in the style of many traditional Suzhou houses. The outdoor garden with a gazebo, pond and plants completely organically merges with the artistic composition of the museum. It is this combination of traditional and futuristic, geometric balance, as well as the interweaving of art, nature and philosophy that make this museum so unique in my eyes. The museum also creates one organic complex together with the nearby gardens of the Humble Official and the Lion Grove In addition to what I said above, the Suzhou Museum has more than a thousand cultural relics, ranging from the prehistoric era to artifacts from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
