The charm of Pingjiang Road. Suzhou's Pingjiang Road is an alley along the Pingjiang River. Unlike other ancient towns in Jiangnan, Pingjiang Road has maintained the urban layout from the Tang and Song dynasties. The alleys are arranged in a grid pattern, with stone bridges at each intersection over the river, facilitating residents' travel. In the Nanjing Museum, there are still hand-drawn street maps of Pingjiang Road, even detailing the house numbers and names of the residents.
