Chongyuan Temple is located by the Yangcheng Lake in Wu Zhong District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province

The temple was originally built in the year 503, which means it has a history of over 1500 years. Chongyuan Temple is renowned for its grand scale, covering an area of more than 300 acres. Inside the temple, there are the tallest water Guanyin pavilion in the country, the largest indoor Guanyin statue, and the heaviest bronze bell, making it a Buddhist temple with a long history and rich culture. The 33-meter-tall Guanyin statue is the tallest in China. The entire statue is made of bronze and covered with gold leaf. The mole between Guanyin's eyebrows is a crystal, giving it a regal and mysterious presence.
