However, due to the large number of people waiting today, the staff took orders directly from the queue. We ordered mozzarella cheese balls, hirekatsu set meal, mentaiko oil pasta, and unagi don. As soon as we were seated, the food we ordered started arriving. The first dish served was the mozzarella cheese balls. The cheese balls were accompanied by a cabbage salad, a white dipping sauce for the cheese balls, and a dressing for the salad. Next was the mentaiko oil pasta. I used to visit the Hoho Restaurant near Hyehwa Station frequently and loved their mentaiko oil pasta. I ordered it today hoping to relive that taste, but honestly, today's pasta was underwhelming. The mentaiko flavor was barely noticeable, and the pasta was lukewarm, giving the impression that pre-cooked spaghetti was simply drenched in oil. Then came the unagi don (eel rice bowl). The rice was served in a Japanese-style wooden container. Upon opening the lid, the dish revealed rice topped with seasoned eel and garnished with ginger. While the presentation was appealing, the rice lacked seasoning, and the portion of eel was somewhat disappointing. Although it was said to contain a whole freshwater eel, the quantity felt insufficient. Here’s a shot of the entire meal. While eating, I noticed that other tables had miso soup. When I checked the tablet, I found that miso soup needed to be ordered separately. Upon asking, the staff apologized, saying the soup had been omitted by mistake. I had wondered why we didn’t have it... sigh.
