There is a story

📌Suphan Buri City Pillar Shrine, Raw Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province Originally called the City Pillar Shrine, it is a sacred place and has been respected by the people of Suphan Buri Province and the general public since ancient times. Suphan Buri City Pillar Shrine is located in the ancient city of Suphan Buri, Malai Man Road, Raw Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province. The sculpture of the City Pillar Shrine is in the Khmer art style in the form of Vishvakarman wearing a Indian hat in the Phrai Kham style, approximately 1300-1400 years ago. His name is Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara or the four-armed Narayana. His duty is to help humans and all animals escape suffering and experience only happiness and prosperity. According to the story that has been passed down, about 150 years ago, someone found Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara buried in the ground at the edge of the shrine. The villagers helped to invite him up and built a new shrine for him to reside in. A Chinese man named Hia Kong has been taking care of it all along. In ancient times, there was a saying that "Do not go to Suphanburi, or something bad will happen." In 1892, Prince Damrong Rajanubhab inspected Suphanburi. He paid homage to the City Pillar Shrine and donated his personal funds to build more shrines. He also planned for King Chulalongkorn to visit Suphanburi. King Rama V said, "This is a good idea, but they didn’t let you go to Suphanburi, saying that if you go, you’ll go crazy, right?" Prince Damrong Rajanubhab then reported that he had been there and nothing happened. He has been in the government service up until now. King Rama V simply said, "Go." Then he traveled to Suphanburi during his visit in 1904. He performed rituals to honor the City Pillar Shrine and donated his personal funds to build a dam around the shrine mound, made a platform for worshippers, built a glass wall, and extended the shrine. The front is in a Chinese pavilion style. Generally, city pillar shrines are made of wood with a domed top. However, this Suphanburi city pillar is special because: It will be a stone and there will be a Buddha statue. Later, the City Pillar Shrine became dilapidated. Mr. Banharn Silpa-archa and the committee renovated the City Pillar Shrine to be wider by building a Chinese-style building to cover the old shrine. #Central Region Team

Dragon Descendants Museum

For the Museum of Descendants of the Dragon Land, to put it simply, it is a shrine. In front of the dragon is a shrine where normal people come to pay homage. As for the dragon itself, it is a museum about the descendants of the dragon land, as the name suggests. But you have to pay to enter, but the shrine is free. In the central area leading to the parking lot, there are shops on both sides and some booths selling things, but the day I went was Monday, it was closed. There is a lot of parking and I recommend not going to Suphan Buri on Monday because many places are closed. #CentralTeam #WaitingForTheDayToDepart
