Longfeng Ancient Town

Longfeng Ancient Town is located to the south of Chuanshan District, Suining City, Sichuan Province, bordering the Fu River to the east, with a total area of about 148.22 hectares. In recent years, Suining has set the strategic goal of 'creating an internationally renowned, domestic first-class tourist leisure and vacation destination'. As Chuanshan, the pilot area for coordinated urban and rural development, has initiated the construction of the Longfeng Ancient Town project. Relying on the natural ecological landscape and the cultural heritage accumulated over a thousand years, Longfeng Ancient Town takes the ancient Western Han Dynasty's Miaozhuang King's City as the cultural context, which is 'a thousand-year-old Xingning ancient capital, an eternal dragon and phoenix romance, a beautiful Miaoshan legend, and an auspicious Guanyin holy land', highlighting the connotation of the ancient town as 'leisurely and comfortable, peaceful and harmonious, festive and auspicious', and striving to create the 'Chinese Guanyin Culture Hometown' as an auspicious blessing sanctuary. It has become Suining's first national 4A-level characteristic tourist ancient town scenic area. Longfeng Ancient Town is different from other ancient towns I have seen in that it strives to shape and develop not the ancient architecture and folk traditions of the ancient town, but three activities: market gathering (called 'market fair' in the north), fishing, and hot spring bathing, and four cultures: dragon and phoenix culture, Guanyin culture, ancient merchant town culture, and folk culture. Unfortunately, I didn't get to participate in any of the three activities, and the four cultures are not something that can be fully experienced in a short time. Longfeng Ancient Town, if you want to see the ancient, you will be greatly disappointed, but if you want to go to the market, fish, bathe in hot springs, and relax, it is just like Liujiang Ancient Town, worth a visit...
