Explore the World Heritage List: Western Norwegian Fjords

The West Norwegian Fjords are located on the west coast of Norway on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. Many "U" and "V" shaped valleys are formed between the steep valleys and cliffs. After the sea water flows into these bays, the Jedi beauty that people see is formed. Formation of the fjord: One million years ago, the thickness of the glaciers here reached two to three thousand meters. The Norwegian fjords were formed during the Ice Age by erosion over thousands of years by the huge glaciers that covered the northern part of the European continent. The fjords are not only unique natural wonders, but also important sea routes. Norway’s famous cities such as Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, etc. are all located in the fjords. Recommended itinerary: If you are driving or traveling independently; start from Olso - take E6 north - take E136 in Dombås - ⚠️Turn to Highway 63 at the property camp in Sogge to reach the Trollstigen Road "Elf Road" (Figure 7), then follow Highway 63 all the way south to (Figures 1 and 6) Geirangerfjord; including the Seven Girls Waterfalls and Eagle Road are both check-in holy places along the way. The final destination can be set near Flåm! The next day you can take the Flåmsbana mountain train to see Kjosfossen Waterfall and take a cruise in Gudvangen to explore the Sognefjord! In this way, the most essential parts of the fjords in Western Norway are basically in place! Next, I will introduce the four major fjords in Western Norway: 1. Sognefjord is the longest and deepest fjord in the world, with picturesque scenery including towering peaks, waterfalls and tranquil glaciers. 2. Hardangerfjord is Norway's second longest fjord, with pleasant orchards, waterfalls and ancient farming villages along its shores. 3. Geirangerfjord is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its cliffs, waterfalls (such as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls) and stunning scenery. 4. Nærøyfjord is a narrow and magnificent fjord with cliffs, green trees and small villages along the way. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
