Witnessed the masterpiece of the textbook - Flowing Water Villa.

Two weeks ago, I went on a trip to Pittsburgh and drove around to visit Fallingwater, a streamside villa. I learned a lot about Wright's works when I studied environmental design before, and this time I finally got to see it with my own eyes. Famous masterpieces of architecture are truly awe-inspiring. When you are in them, you can feel that every detail has been carefully considered, and every brick and tile is a seamless blend of human craftsmanship and nature. Fallingwater is a quite popular attraction, and tickets need to be booked one or two months in advance. The attraction is located in a relatively remote mountain area, but the visitor center has a great design and is clean and transparent. Arrive at the appointed time, and a tour guide will lead you through the plank road, forest, and garden, all the way to the front of the building. You can also go inside the building, but you need to follow the tour guide. Video recording is not allowed indoors, but photography is permitted. The indoor tour of the entire Flowing Water Villa takes about an hour. After coming out of the house, you can freely take photos and visit the surroundings. The building is located on a mountain, so there are also two hiking trails nearby. There are also signs indicating the best shooting spots. The most impressive thing for me is the windows of the villa's guest rooms. For the sake of aesthetics, Wright designed the windows to only be able to open and close from the outside. Therefore, when it's windy or raining, one can only run outside to close the window. This is just one of the master's quirks. Overall, this is a place that is definitely worth visiting. Some of the scenery can only be truly appreciated by experiencing it firsthand, as pictures and words in books can never fully capture its beauty.
