St. Wolfgang, Austria: Boat + Cable Car – A Perfect Discovery! 🇦🇹 picturesque

#summervacay My initial plan for St. Wolfgang, Austria, revolved around the famous Schafbergbahn cog railway. However, a heavy downpour the night before led to its closure. Initially, I was a bit disappointed, but our last-minute switch to a "boat + cable car" combination turned out to be unexpectedly perfect! Recommended Itinerary: We started our journey by taking a boat from the St. Wolfgang Markt pier. After about 20 minutes, we disembarked at St. Gilgen. Ticket prices: Adults €13.80; Children (6-15 years) €6.90; Children (0-5 years) free. From the boat landing, it was less than a 10-minute walk to the Zwolferhorn cable car station. The cable car ride was very smooth, taking about 15 minutes to reach the summit. Round-trip ticket prices: Adults €34; Children (6+ years) €17; Children (under 6 years) free (making it super suitable for family trips!). The scenery from the top was absolutely breathtaking! The mountains and lakes embraced each other, creating postcard-perfect views everywhere I looked.
