Spring Escape to Split

My visit to Split was a perfect mix of ancient history, coastal vibes, and laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere. The heart of the city, Diocletian’s Palace, instantly transported me back in time. Wandering through its narrow marble streets, I marveled at how the Roman emperor’s residence has become a living part of the modern city — with cafes, shops, and locals all coexisting within its ancient walls. I climbed the bell tower of St. Domnius Cathedral for breathtaking views over the red rooftops and the sparkling sea beyond. Walking along the Riva promenade, the scent of the sea mixed with fresh coffee from the nearby cafés. It was the ideal spot to relax and soak in the Dalmatian atmosphere. What made the experience even better was a short hike up Marjan Hill, where panoramic views of Split and the islands took my breath away.
