Sharing a National Day travel guide for Western Sichuan Jiuzhaigou and Siguniang Mountain guides will be in the next posts~ ✅Basic itinerary and costs: 6:14-7:47 Chengdu East Station - Songpan 133 RMB 7:50-8:50 Songpan Station - Huanglong Scenic Area by bus 20 RMB 9:10-10:10 Queue for scenic area cable car, ticket 170 RMB 10:10-10:35 Cable car + sightseeing bus 100 RMB 10:35-14:30 Touring the scenic area 14:30-16:40 Huanglong Scenic Area - Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area carpool 80 RMB 16:40 Check-in at Jiuzhaigou town hotel 176 RMB 17:00-18:00 Dinner in Jiuzhaigou town (Shu Ta Beef and Yak Hotpot) 88 RMB Total for the day: 767 RMB 🧾Tickets Book 14 days in advance on the Aba Tourism mini program: scenic area ticket 170 RMB, sightseeing bus ticket 20 RMB, uphill cableway 80 RMB, downhill 40 RMB 🚩Preparation: 1️⃣Huanglong’s highest altitude is 3576m, there are oxygen points along the way, 2 RMB per tube, unlimited use, oxygen tanks are not recommended. 2️⃣Bring snacks like cola, chocolate, Snickers, etc. Taking a bite when feeling altitude dizziness can help relieve symptoms. 3️⃣Check the weather and bring a windbreaker + inner layer + disposable raincoat. 🚄Scenic area transportation ①Songpan Station - Huanglong Scenic Area: We chose the bus, 20 RMB, non-stop. Many big buses will pick up passengers at Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Station. ②Huanglong Scenic Area - Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area: At the parking lot, you can choose between a bus or carpool. If not in a hurry, take the bus. After buying tickets, there were only a few people on the bus after half an hour; it only departs when full. Be cautious of price hikes during carpooling. We chose carpooling, agreed on 70 RMB/person before departure, no car changes, no extra passengers. But after a few kilometers, the driver stopped and wanted to wait to pick up another person. We refused, then he suggested switching to a 5-seater car (which means 4 people in the back seat, overloaded). We refused again. Finally, we agreed to pay 80 RMB/person, and the driver was comfortable driving. 🎶Luggage storage Free luggage storage at "Huanglong Visitor Center" bus stop. The visitor center is to the right of the ticket hall, and the small wooden cabin on the right offers free luggage storage. ⚠️Closes at 18:00 and locks the door, late arrivals can only retrieve luggage the next day. 👭Scenic area tour We chose to take the cable car up and walk down, which took about 3.5 hours. The Five-Color Pond is very beautiful, with many photo spots. After viewing, you can hike down; there are many scenic spots along the way, with rest pavilions at intervals. The downhill path is said to have rare flora and fauna, although I didn’t see any, maybe I lacked the eyes to appreciate the beauty. Next post will share the Jiuzhaigou guide~
