Huanglong National Park: A Top Destination!!

Another early morning as we set out for the mountains and forests. We took the high-speed train from Chunxi Road to Chengdu Dong, the main train station. If you've booked your trip in advance, you can use your passport to scan and board the train directly! After a couple of naps, we arrived, but then had to transfer to a bus. For those prone to motion sickness, be prepared when traveling in China—mountain roads can be challenging, so bring medication. (I managed to sleep through the bus ride and avoided getting carsick.) Once we reached Huanglong National Park, we took a cable car to start our hike. Be cautious about queueing, as some elderly folks might try to cut in line! The view of the snow-capped mountains was breathtaking at first glance, but the real challenge began with a 10-kilometer hike. The trail is long, so come prepared both mentally and physically. For those affected by high altitudes, it can be an extra hurdle. However, once you reach the top, the scenery is stunning—so much so that you might find yourself shouting in awe. The hike took us about 4 hours, including breaks. If you're planning to visit, make sure to allocate enough time. We visited during Songkran, which is late winter. The snow was melting, and the landscape felt dry—perhaps not the best season to visit.
