It is a combination of Malay and Chinese heritage cooking, and resembles nonya style. You will definitely enjoy many local flavours and unique cooking ingredients at Violet Oon. There are a few outlets and the outlet in Jewel Changi airport is very pretty. Their decoration is posh and lavish but you still get a reasonably priced menu. I like their beef rendang and babi pongteh with black nuts which is also known as Buah Keluak. These black nuts are creamy and you eat it by scooping them out. They have very good rempah and you can skip hours of cooking by dining with them. It is suggested that you make a reservation because they are popular.
