#summervacay I recently had the chance to check out The Standard, Singapore, the trendy Hollywood brand hotel under Hyatt, which has finally opened its doors here! Let's start with a couple of minor points: Its location, honestly, isn't ideal. While it's advertised as being close to Orchard Road, it's actually a 10-15 minute walk to the main stretch. It's also not near any MRT stations or even bus stops, which can be a bit inconvenient for walking out during Singapore's hot sunny days or sudden thunderstorms. Of course, if you plan to take taxis everywhere, this won't be an issue. The room size isn't particularly spacious either, just over 20 square meters. If you're traveling with a check-in sized suitcase, once it's opened, you might find yourself a bit short on floor space. However, if those two points aren't deal-breakers for you, then everything else is a major plus! First off, The Standard's style is truly unique and eye-catching. During my stay, there was even a day when the elevator received special decorations! The wooden decorative panel behind the bed extends all the way to the ceiling, the bathroom features bright yellow and white striped tiles, and the full-length mirror in the room greets you with a playful welcome message.
