Singapore is a city that left me with mixed feelings, but overall, it was a memorable experience. What I absolutely loved was the spirit of the city—there’s an energy here that’s hard to describe, a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The vibrant ancient town, with its colorful shophouses and rich history, was a delight to explore. I also appreciated the sleek new buildings and modern skyline, which gave the city a dynamic, forward-looking vibe. The peaceful atmosphere in many areas, especially during weekday mornings, and the consistently sunny weather made walking around very enjoyable. And the food—simply incredible. From hawker centers to fine dining, the flavors were diverse, rich, and unforgettable. However, there were aspects that disappointed me. The number of tourists was overwhelming, especially in popular spots, which made some areas feel crowded and less authentic. I was also surprised by the lack of cleanliness in certain neighborhoods. While Singapore has a reputation for being spotless, I expected streets and public areas to look newer and more maintained. The noise level, especially on weekends, was a bit too much for my liking. Public places were often packed, with people even sitting on sidewalks, which took away from the city's otherwise orderly image. Despite these issues, Singapore is a city worth visiting.
