A Day of Exploring Chinese Culture via Haw Paw Villa

Haw Paw Villa is definitely my favorite spot in Singapore With the vibrant and colorful statues built by the former owners, the villa actually shows the world view of Chinese. The statues are not only decorations but each are showing some important values in Chinese culture, for example filial piety and harmony. What is more interesting, it would be the hell museum. It shows the 18 levels and punishment In the Taoist Hell. The exhibition of Life and Death before the gateway to Hell is super useful to understand the context for not only Taoism but also other religions like Islam and Hindu. Love this place so much and everyone should spend a day there! #travel#thingstodo #museums #singapore
