A Weekend Getaway at Sofitel Sentosa

Price per Person - 300-400sgd Rating - 4.5/5 Amazing weekend getaway at Sofitel Sentosa! Met with some self-inflicted administrative faults with our booking that the Hotel staffs were so great with handling the issue. Every staff we met were very polite and showed us great hospitality ( Yes, we do agree with some reviews that some part-time staffs that served them were a little blur, but they were never impolite and were trying their best!) Dinner: Contrary to some , our experience with our Dinner & breakfast at the Kwee Zeen were beyond our expectations . There were so many selections and because it’s the CNY weekend, there was even Hotpot for our dinner apart from the other entrees and mains ! If we really had to nitpick, we ordered Mala soup for our Hotpot but was served Tomyum instead by a Part-time staff, though later the obvious Perm staff who took our order came by to check if we needed to refill our soup and realised that it was a wrong soup , and even offered to get it replaced for us (though we were really fine with the tomyum and rejected the offer since we were almost done with our dinner) . Room: was assigned a room in the Peace Wing of the resort , maybe because from reading the various reviews I had expected the rooms already to be dated, but our room really didn’t feel like it was falling apart , toilet was clean, tub was clean , just had an issue with the separate toilet having no Bidet/spray. There was also a mobile bot in-room amenities request chat that made requesting for extra towels, bathrobes and even customized Pillows an ease! the only downside to the room was midway through the sleep at night , I was woken up by an itch and an obvious bug bite bump on my hip which made me wondered if it’s bedbugs or just an invading mosquito … thankfully a little spray of insect repellant ensured no more disturb to my sleep later… Breakfast: almost all 3 eateries in the hotel serves coffee from the Nespresso machine so there should be nothing much to complain about . breakfast spread was also great, there was the local fair (dimsum, porridge, nasi Lemak , laksa ) , western Cold cuts, salad, various yogurts, lots of pastries (they were great!) , waffles and cereals . Was seated outdoors during Breakfast and it was an awesome ambience as there were many island birds that weren’t invasive, that you could see through the glass shelter … Pool: pool time can be reserved before hand in your room TV or via the reservation link available by scanning the QR code . Pools are clean and in view of the restaurants , Nature, trees and have a little waterfall . Parents can enjoy drinks or bites brought to the poolside seats too!
