The Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, Singapore

The hotel was formerly known as Marina Mandarin and opened in 1987. It was taken over by the UOL Group in 2019 and reopened in 2020 as the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay. The hotel has 21 floors and 575 guest rooms. It is also Singapore's first 'garden hotel'. It must be said that the hotel is truly beautiful, but when compared to adjacent hotels, it still has many flaws and deficiencies after two years of operation. The guest rooms feature a minimalist style, reminiscent of Muji. I personally really like it, but the bathroom seems to have not been significantly improved during the hotel's renovation, still retaining a sense of age, and the toilet seems a bit smaller compared to others... The bathtub also feels quite odd, with an indescribable sense of harmony. The GHA Titanium welcome gift includes cheesecake, macarons, chocolates, and walnut pastries. The taste is quite good, but the tea bags in the room are not TWG but Dilmah, which feels like something a 4-star hotel would use? There are also coffee capsules available in the room. There is no bottled drinking water in the room, but the bathroom has a filtered drinking water system, so you can directly drink from the tap. The bath amenities are from the Australian brand Appelles, which I am encountering for the first time and find quite pleasant. However, many hotels now use large bottles of amenities, so it's not as easy to take advantage of, hahahahhaah It's called a Marina Bay view, but the view from the room is not directly facing Marina Bay, instead, you can see the rooms of the Mandarin Oriental. The privacy is not very good, as I can see into the opposite rooms, which means they can also see into mine, so it's necessary to draw the curtains at night. But to be fair, the night view is really nice!
