🌸Check out the attractions in Singapore: Universal Studios, the Zoo, Gardens by the Bay, the Aquarium, and the Ferris wheel. Personally, I don't think the Aquarium is a must-visit, as aquariums around the world are pretty similar. The Avatar area in Gardens by the Bay is better than the garden area, which is not very interesting. Universal Studios is a must-visit, though. Even if you've been to Universal Studios in Beijing, Osaka, or Los Angeles, it's still a fun place to visit again. If you're interested in animals, the Zoo is worth a special trip. The Ferris wheel offers a great night view and has a nice vibe, but locals probably wouldn't ride it since you can enjoy similar beautiful views from the rooftop bars of hotels with top-floor terraces. Other attractions like Little India aren't really necessary. 🌸Hainanese chicken rice, Bak Kut Teh, Peranakan cuisine, black pepper crab, Laksa, and fried Kway Teow are all local specialties worth trying. It's recommended to go to places like night markets where locals eat, as there's a wide variety of choices. The quality of Hainanese chicken rice depends on whether the chicken is tender and smooth, the rice is fragrant, and the soup is fresh. Bak Kut Teh comes in clear or dark soup; I personally prefer the clear soup. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is delicious and offers free refills of soup, so you can have several bowls. 🌸The subway is the most convenient mode of transport. You can't buy single-trip tickets, but you don't necessarily need to buy a subway card either. Try using your own Visa card, as the newer versions can be directly used at the gates; for taxis, you need to go to designated spots and can pay with WeChat Pay. 🌸Most places only accept card (Visa) + cash, so it's best to exchange for Singapore dollars in advance. 🌸You can claim tax refunds for purchases over 100 Singapore dollars. At the airport, you can choose to have the refund credited to your bank card, Alipay, or cash. Alipay usually credits the refund within an hour. 🌸Buying designer bags is quite a good deal. There's a Le Labo perfume store on Orchard Road, the colorful cakes at Terminal 1 have a shelf life of 5 days, and you can find Irvin's salted egg chips and fish skin, as well as TWG tea and BACHA coffee available throughout the airport. The above are all pretty good, but I don't find Tiger Balm plasters useful, so there's no need to buy them. Cosmetics are too expensive and not worth purchasing.
