Clarke Quay 🇸🇬

#singapore 🇸🇬 Clark Pier is named after Sir Andrew Clark, governor of the Straits settlements. In the early years, many merchants traded along the bank of the Singapore River. Thus, Clark’s dock naturally became a dock for loading and unloading goods. At the time, along with warehouse rows on both sides of the river, there were also several shops and factories. As Singapore developed, it gradually shifted from a sidewalk into an integrated recreational area for nightly dining and tourism. Just west of the river is Circle Street with additional bars and restaurants. In the morning, the area is quiet and is mostly occupied by jogging, cyclists and other locals who exercise. A nice stroll along the river-facing pedestrian path is connected by Waterfront Park and Merlion Park and offers excellent views of the city, bayside gardens and the signature lion fountain. Clarke - a great place for fun travelers. There are a lot of food and beverage restaurants. Surrounded by a river, it is a beautiful tourist attraction. The old building was built in the 18th century. You can taste different types of cuisine as you want.
