#singapore Took my folks for a stroll through the now gentrified Duxton-Cantonment Road area and it turned out to be a walk down memory lane for my dad! From the leftover signage of a martial arts club and what used to be railway tracks at Duxton Plains Park, to what’s left of the old Yan Kit Swimming Complex, we were regaled with stories of his childhood growing up in the Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood. I have walked past these historical landmarks so many times without knowing they held special memories for my dad.
