Sojeon Art Museum

The Sojeon Art Museum in Siheung, which exhibits a collection focused on ceramics. There is a public parking lot near the museum that is shared with other restaurants. Since it is an outdoor parking lot and the lot is not that small, parking was not too difficult, but since there are many people visiting this area on the weekends, it takes a while to park. The Bourdelle sculpture was right at the entrance. It was originally outside, but it was decided that it was an expensive piece of art and could not be placed outside, so it was brought inside. The museum had a neat feeling overall, with a harmony of wooden floors and white walls. Since the ceramics on display have a Korean sensibility, the neat interior seemed to blend in with the artwork. The piano on the first floor is also a piece of art. It is usually closed and used for exhibition purposes, but it is often tuned and used when there is a performance at the museum. There is also an exhibition on the second floor, and the view of the first floor from here is really beautiful. The spiral staircase leading down from the second floor to the first floor also feels like a sculpture. In addition, the seasonal changes seen through the large windows are also beautiful. There is also a garden behind the museum, and I heard that the founder of the museum had a hobby of collecting rocks, so he bought and stored pretty and good rocks. They say that flowers bloom in the spring, so it would be good to visit every season.
